Work Group Solutions is a category name which we, here in New Zealand created to hopefully "categorise" these clever products.
As the name suggests, all of these products work as a group. Of course they can work perfectly well independantly or as stand-alone systems but for larger organisations and companies who have many boxes to tick these usually do just that.
Both the DS-5000's and DS-3400 are shipped with the latest version of DSS Player - Pro Release 5.
With past versions of DSS there have been 2 components; Dictation Module and Transcription Module. Now there is a 3rd component DSS Player Management Software.
For Practice Managers, IT Support and anyone else who's job it is to manage their Dictation system for new staff arrivals, staff who really only want the "basics" and of course those annoying ongoing software updates... life has just got a whole lot simpler.
DSS Player Management allows remote desktop access to customise hardware, adjust software settings as well as program software version updates.
All products featured on this page can be customised for use with Terminal Server and Citrix.

Wow what a machine. Finished in gun-metal black the DS-5000 has a huge LCD display which confirms mode of operation plus everything you need to know about the file your dictating and the one's you've finished.
As you would expect the slide switch is extremely smooth and accurate - there won't be any clipping of words here. Overall the DS-5000's design is simple and elegant with 3 Programmable buttons located on the front for your most frequently used functions.
The docking cradle is practical - well balanced and sturdy enough to not be moving around your desk.
The DS-5000 is supplied with a 512MB micro SD and 1 GB SD Memory Card, rechargeable batteries, docking cradle and everything else you need to get up and going.
